toilet training

hi i have a 4 year old with ASD and am trying to toilet train him but am havin no luck!he is happy to sit on the toilet but he wont do any thing.he is starting reception in sept and they would prefer him out of nappies!!does any one have any tips or advice please?xx

  • Yeh I know I should of not put pull ups on him again but I work 3days a week but next week I have 3 days off in a row so am just gonna go for it,I also have a 22 month old boy as well which makes it harder!aww bless he sounds just like my Jayden he is similar to ur little one!!his speech is getting there he understands every thing but some times finds it hard to answer questions.he plays along side his friends in school,he is starting main stream as he loves theschool he is at he went play group and nursery there so he is used to the environment and his friends.am very worried about him going as he is very fussy with his food I will give him pack lunch but he is very limited as to what he eats,if I find he doesn't get on there will have to re think about sending him to a special school.but u need a statement to get in to special school we have applied but they think he might not get it!did ur little boy have his mmr jabs?we haven't had Jaydens done yet bit worried bout getting it done xxxx
