  • No.  I can never remember whether clocks go forward or back an hour.

I just don't understand the logic behind it.

  • i always remember it as Spring - Forward and Fall - Back im not that bothered about why daylight savings ie i understand that it's supposed to be for kids coming home from school in daylight i just like the excuse to go through every time piece and make sure they're punctual

  • It was originally brought in during the First World War to save on coal. We kept the practice going afterwards, but most of Europe stopped until the oil crisis of the 1970s.

  • yeah not very fair really

  • When I worked nightshift when the clocks went back I didn't get paid any extra. My boss said it would even out when I worked a night shift when the clocks went forward. Needless to say that never happened! I was most annoyed about this!

  • yeah i get where you're coming from they are trying to scrap it though whether they will or not remains to be seen

  • I understand your point about resetting all time pieces so they show the correct time.

What annoys me is that my mother always knew if clocks went forward or back.  And insisted it was logical and obvious.  And she couldn't understand why I didn't see it.
