I have 3 year old daughter's one of which has autism and refuses to walk when we go out. She wants to be pick up or go in the pushchair but she is getting to heavy for me to do it all the time and have consistently have back pain from doing it and now her sister is coping her by refusing to walk. Has anyone got any advice on what to do, thanks
A pushchair is a safe, familiar, comfortable haven for your daughter and her little legs will tire very easily at this age. I really don't think that using a pushchair at age 3 is unusual, why not continue taking it when you go out with the girls so that you aren't forced to carry them? I also found the pushchair useful even when the girls did want to walk as it meant that I didn't have to carry bags.
Hi. I was just wondering if it is any particular flooring /ground.
I ask this because my son would never walk on a wet floor of any kind.
Good thought! Maybe she doesn't want to walk on all of this unfamiliar snow most places have at the moment, or the dirty slush it's turning into.
Hi, it's on all flooring / ground outside the home. She will walk as long as there is lots of puddles on the ground and has to go into everyone.
