I have been doing home-science with H2O2 to investigate aerobic and anaerobic bacteria; it is a valid point that tea tree oil can be an irritant, mind blindness and body blindness Smile
The dentist could not understand why I had no Plaque, but the chemists that do have hydrogen peroxide in 3 and 9% have recipes for mouthwash on the bottles.
One thing I did discover by paying no heed to sales tactic, of 1 or 2 probiotics in a vitamin supplements and digging deeper. A pattern seams to exist between when we stopped eating muddy carrots out of fields and some of the scary illnesses. I discovered products containing Soil Organisms, available on line.
The soil organism product has Lactobacillus Salivarius, which I believed to be our mouths protective bacteria. It has cured my own tummy troubles and mums doctor labelled IBS. Again all bodies are different Smile
Taking 10 gram of L-Glutamine a day to prevent leaky gut could just as much been the helper.
Epsom salts (Magnesium sulphate, possible irritant) due to the body absorbing magnesium well through the skin and it genuine ability to relax muscles is a good add to a bath. Magnesium deficiency is common so 20 minutes in a bath also helps that.
I use a magnesium chloride (possible irritant) spray just like the medics on a football pitch to boost my own, it is quicker. My University course has shown a few patterns of magnesium/stress/nerve signal links forming in my pictures, but I do not know enough yet so..
As provisionally past my first year of BSc Psychology and Law, so back to looking into year two, if my attention allows me. Back to filling the blanks.
Thank you for letting me adding more awareness of others skin irritation possibilities.
At 44 Instill get updates, thanks.
May be worth checking these things out more thoroughly. For example if hot moist conditions are a factor there might be a fungal element, therefore moisturising cream is only worsening the environment for irritation.
A lot of fabrics and fabric treatments can cause irritation, so experiments with that may help - go back to some older clothes that weren't associated with the irritation, or change washing powder (eg non-bio). Or change clothing style, eg looser.
Also bubble bath and bath oils can cause changes to the skin which increase sensitivity.
While stress may be a factor, these things can be multiple cause. For example there may be a propensity for a stress induced rash but unsuitable clothing detergent or hygiene products might be exacerbating this. A food allergy rash might be worsened by stress.
Something anti-fungal would help a fungal infection but it might remove beneficial fungi that could make the skin more vulnerable to something else that wasn't caused by fungal infection. Tea tree oil is great stuff but it can also irritate.
I am lucky enough to not scratch myself to bits, but my aspie mum is not so lucky. I have battled into the University of Plymouth in the UK and as an Asperger, ADHD with Dyslexia it has been hard at 44. I am studying BSc(Hon) Psychology and Law and just sat my first year exams. I am attempting to battle for the ones less able to talk. Especally my own genes.' I coulld do with all the help possible to make the University of Plymouth understand all aspects, Itching included if you can think of a way to open the Universities eyes please do.
These types of conditions have plagued me all my life as well, Hans Anderson`s pictured it perfectly in ‘The Princess and the Pea.’ A tower block of mattresses and still anything itches! The doctor tried many remedies, only once I experimented was I able to stop myself ripping my skin off.
I developed a mixture of equal amounts of aqueous cream and calamine cream; let it absorb a 5ml spoon at a time of bicarbonate of soda powder, as it is mixed; all available over the counter at the chemist (Drug Store). Rubbed on with the palm of the hand, due to the abrasiveness relief is provided without breaking the skin, leaving it on overnight and keeping the area as cold as possible.
It can’t cure it but can help a great deal; the messiness can be fun too.
My son Elmo (posted as well) made a mixture of 10% Neem oil, 5% tea-tree oil and 85% E45 cream as its base; it really is a good fungicide (thrush), antibacterial and antiviral. This mixture cured foot and toe nail fungus in a short period, applying once a week.
I can live with his feet as well now. I am writing this because he arrived today on the edge of melt-down knowing I could maybe help you. He does not want his experiences of Asperger’s to happen to others less able to communicate and younger than him, especially my grandchildren’s generation.
