Struggling with the idea of ageing and death as someone who really struggles with change

I find change extremely difficult

I find loss extremely difficult

It is like I go into full collapse and everything feels over

I don't know how to continue to navigate different phases of life and ageing knowing I won't be able to get back each previous one.

  • This is something that has crept in for me also as I've got older and experienced loss.

The idea of ceasing to exist terrifies me. I try to ignore it, but sometimes it's all consuming. Most people do have an existential crisis at some point, but I've always wondered if it's normal to linger for so long. It started for me when I lost my Uncle suddenly in my mid 20s and have experienced much more loss since then unfortunately.

    You're not alone with this.
