Does anyone else feel this way?

Hi all, hope you're having a good day.

Does anyone else feel like they're a different species? Like an alien that's pretending to be human?

I've always felt this way since I can remember. It's how I've made sense of my inability to relate to others and vice versa. The way they stare at me with their dead, glassy eyes, not bothering to meet me halfway. I'm glad I'm only pretending to be a human, because I'd never actually want to be like them. Neurotypical people are just incredibly dull, one-dimensional creatures, I can't work with that. I much prefer other autistic and neurodivergent people who actually have character and personality

  • I'm sure most of us have and I agree with you that many NT's seem dull and lacking in an inner life, some are and of course some aren't. I've met some not so nice ND's too.

But you are human and so are they, we maybe slightly different types of human though, with different brain architecture even though we look the same. I'm wary of getting into a them and us blame game though as I think its alienates us all and helps no one. I think the NT's things you describe are things NT's do to each other too, as well as us
