The dreaded day approaches

The day where I have to do all the migration to UC from ESA, I know I posted on it before and Bunny gave me some places to go for advice, but I can't find the thread.

Yesterday I looked at all the stuff for it on the government website and it looked really scary. Is there an actual physical form or is it all online? Do you get a chance to save it and go back to it? I'm reluctant to ask the CAB for help as the last couple of times I've had contact with them have been very negative, punishing and extremely NT.

My only consolation is that I can procrastinate as the forms not sue until the end of the month, but I know I've got to screw myself up to do this.

  • I share your dread but it is something we have to go through I am afraid. I looked for info on Disabled People Against Cuts but could not find anything on UC as there was a page on it. I know I asked for and was granted fortnight payments as budgeting is hard for me. Be aware that moving on to UC may affect your Council Tax benefit should you claim that. My council were not very nice about this but I stood up to them and it was ok. Take a few days to complete the form, I know I did. After that go treat yourself to coffee and cake at South Stack.
