Feeling low

Good evening,

Feeling low as I was bullied online recently by a pen pal and ended up deleting my account. Interpals supposed to be a website for finding pen pals. Now more like nasty, scammers, looking for romance and postal. Used to be really good. Had to break up with a successful one. Triggered something in the past.

Also my routine is a mess and not structured.

My friends say try to keep my routine much I can. Feeling awful. There's a lot going on with my life. I'd mentioned it to my friends on WhatsApp and trustworthy people e.g a local charity in my area. I enjoy reading, photography, nature, colouring and puzzle books. How do I get into a routine?

Also I go to the Women's Institute occasionally. Got afternoon tea with them next week.

  • Most of the time we tend to have far too high expectations as to what a routine should look like. Start with the basics. Able to brush your teeth every morning and evening? Keep it up, that‘s amazing!
Wanna be more active? Instead of trying to work out for an hour, start by doing 5 push-ups every morning. You‘re not able to keep it up? That‘s fine, go lower. One single push-up is still better than none.

Check the expectations and demands you put on yourself. Start low enough so you‘re able to keep certain parts of a routine up and improve from there. I know, it‘s easier said than done. There are many people on here who will be happy to support you through advice or even just listening to (or rather reading about) your thoughts and struggles.
