Worried about date tomorrow

Hi,

I'm meeting my girlfriend tomorrow. I'm extremely nervous about this.

This is the first time since I started looking 8 years ago that someone reciprocated my feelings. I've known her since December, and she has constantly been a very positive, warm and caring person to me. I've met her in person before as well.

We arranged this date in early February (as we live in different cities), she got extremely excited about attending my presentation in Parliament in early March, and we've been planning various activities for the Easter holidays. When I congratulated her with Valentine's day and sent a rose emoji, she liked it and congratulated me with the same thing.

I'm really nervous about seeing her tomorrow, as I'm afraid I might do something with my autism that will push her away from me or cause her to lose interest. I really like her, and I really want this to work out. The messages she has been sending me discussing a restaraunt I tried to surprise her with were extremely cute, but I'm still worried.

  • What an amazing story so far and good of you to share this with us all. I have been with my partner for 27 years so I have very limited advice for you. Just be your amazing self, that’s all you can be and perhaps concentrate on things you both like and have in common.

Remember she will also feel nervous too so there’s something else you have in common.

Good luck and I hope you have a fantastic date.
