Assessment day

Well it's finally arrived, I'm getting my assignment today. I've been the NHS waiting list for almost 3 years without any end in sight.

I requested "the right to choose" from my GP about a month ago, I was given a list of providers and I chose Skylight as they had a practice not too far away.

I got an email from them within a week with links for various questionnaires. An appointment for a video interview came shortly after that and now I have my face to face assessment.

To say I'm quietly freaking out is an understatement!

I know there's no real pass or fail to the questions but it doesn't really help.

If it turns out that I'm really not part of the community, I don't know where to turn next.

  • Just a quick update. Unsurprisingly it was fine, the assessor was great, she let me ramble on and just asked a few questions to nudge me in a certain direction.

No toothbrush and no frog book questions. Apparently I managed to cover all the bases without them.

I just have to wait for the report to finally get my confirmation or not.

    Thanks for the kind wishes

  • Oh god, the toothbrush and that blasted frog book. That frog book actually made me so upset, I was so confused and I hated the nonsensical story.

Apparently I was quite pedantic in the way I changed the placement of the imaginary toothbrush holder and water glass.

Glad it was not too stressful for you. Hopefully you don't have to wait too long.
