It's an anxiety inducing process but you will get through it. You have the right to request accomodations to make you feel more comfortable in the assessment. If you are a masker, try not to mask. ( I was masking heavily for my first interview and at the end of it I don't think the assessor thought I was autistic. However by the next interview I was so stressed and tired and depressed that I couldn't mask and she said there was a noticeable change).

for me I was diagnosed as a kid so Iv allways had a diagnosis but adults get diagnosed aswell as kids and there are people who dont or dont get diagnosed until there adults. there are also people on the spectrum who dont manage to get a diagnosis in the community. regardless of weather you get one or not or weather you are oficialy diagnosed or not or self diagnosed no matter how your apointment goes you are still part of this community.
