  • its not growing in number, its just that we have a name for it, identify it easier, and can diagnose it now.

    in the 90s it wasnt diagnosed or sought out to spot, no one cared about it or diagnosing it, it was a case of put up and shut up.

    in ancient times we very well can see most philosophers were clearly suffering from some personality disorder or another, but yet the terms for them wasnt made yet. autism and other disorders have always been very common, just naming and diagnosing them is a new thing
