Burnout and work

So in the last two months, I have been signed off by my doctor twice. I'm still not well but my employer has decided that I don't qualify for company sick pay.

I've been struggling with burnout for most of the year this has caused a lot of issues. My standard of work has gotten worse and I have taken short cuts, to avoid stress. Back in April I contacted COVID and this seems to be the catalyst for all my physical, mental and emotional health.

They have told me that, I'm not eligible due to the amount of time off.

  • Thanks for the responses.

I got paid over night, my company has deducted, around £600. I have contested their decision and contacted my union.

Ive been back at work for a week or so and still feeling terrible.

Also, I had applied for UC after seeing what I was entitled to and asked for a £300 advance payment. Which looks like it has been approved. So that mitigates dom of my losses.

so in the worst case scenario, I have myself covered.
