Do any of you people have a full time job- like 35 hours or more a week? I have just started a new job and my mental health is causing problems for me. I have a lot of anxiety about my new job and my capability and what will be expected of me.
I have now have experienced behavioural issues related to this that have resulted in a dispute. I have only been in the role for two weeks and the health problems are affecting me. I have been to councelling but this is not very useful in a busy work environment where it is expected that I should just learn like people that do not have chronic mental health problems.
I don’t want to stop working either as like to do practical jobs and I need the money to pay for my mortgage.
I am looking for advice from anybody in a similar situation and how did you deal with mental health problems and a full time job where you had to work with other people that may or may not help in ways you find useful.
Working from home hasn’t been an option for me as I work in a healthcare environment. Love the work, but can’t control the panic and anxiety around others though.
