I'm sorry to hear this. I was very lonely for a very long time. I agree with Cullpepper that volunteering is a good way to meet people without being forced into too much small talk.
Some churches have drop in clubs where you can have a coffee and talk to others. They may also have support workers.

I’d definitely chase that up then.
Been told I've been referred to Social services but that was ages ago
Impossible to get any help from doctor
Those two last staments are in contradiction my friend. I’d go speak to your gp about your mental health. Also maybe ask to be referred to social services for a needs assessment? It sounds like you could do with a helping hand. Especially with the social isolation.
Haven't got any money for my hobbies, I like gaming but can't afford a computer
Haven't got any friends left
That’s a good idea. I think me and my son are going to look into volunteering at some point. Not until the pandemic eases a bit though - we are still finding it stressful to be in crowded environments.
Can you not find yourself some sort of hobby Steve, that will get you out of the House ? It's harder i think as we get older to meet and make new friends. Talking on the internet, just isn't the same. You mentioned the Samaritans, do you think you could become a volunteer somewhere like that. Some years ago i did voluntary work for Victim Support, i think lots of places are crying out for helpers, even if it were just a few hours in your local Oxfam shop.
I’m really sorry. Do you have any family or friends you can talk to?
you are not completely alone - we are all human, all sharing the same planet, all connected on some level. We are hearing you here so that proves you’re not completely alone.
