Autism and Massage therapy

Hey,

I'm new to this forum. My son is also an autistic kid. We are giving him the best care and treatment. Now he is fifteen years old. A year back, I tried massage therapy sessions on him as per our doctor's advice. At the initial stage, he was uncomfortable with the massages, especially the touches. Then slowly, he began to love the sessions. All thanks are for his therapist. Now he is more flexible than before. I dont know anybody has tried this before. For my child, this was beneficial. Thought of sharing this here.

Thanks!

  • I have had massage when I have been in hospital and found it helpful.  I use essential oils now to help me try and rest at night and have been for years. I think it is probably helpful. I put a mist spray called Sleep Better at night on my pillow and I think that helps as well. i don't know where you live but a few years ago did a course with essential oils and massage was involved and it was not that expensive to enrol as on disability. www.marywardcentre.ac.uk/.../

  • I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first, but seeing the positive impact it had on him was truly eye-opening. It made me realize the power of alternative therapies like massage in helping individuals with autism thrive.

  • Your experience with massage therapy is really heartening. It's fantastic that your son's therapist was able to help him overcome his initial discomfort and that he's now benefiting from it. Thanks for sharing your story – it's inspiring to see the progress he's made. • It's great to hear that your son has been benefiting from massage therapy sessions! My cousin has autism, and we've also noticed how certain therapies can make a positive impact. Personally, I love deep tissue massages for relaxation. I found the best massage parlor on [link removed by moderator], and I've shared my experience there. It's a fantastic platform to discover massage salons in your area!

  • I wanted to chime in and recommend [link removed] as a great option for your daughter's massage. They've got some seriously skilled specialists on their team who are sure to make your daughter's dream come true. Plus, they're located in CA, so it's super convenient for you. Hope that helps and good luck with your search!

  • Hi , could you please clarify what you mean by CA?

    Many thanks,

  • Hey there! No worries about reviving the thread, we're all here to help each other out. Are you looking across CA in general, or you'd prefer a more specific location?

  • Hi. My apologies for reviving this thread. I'd just like your advice on a reliable massage specialist in CA. My autistic daughter has always dreamed of having a massage, so I'd like to find the best specialist for her.

  • Massage is a great therapy for autistic children. Researchers have proven that non-pharmacological therapies for autism are more effective. Various techniques of manual therapy normalize the psycho-emotional background. It becomes easier for an autistic child to establish communicative contact with family members and society. Any massage positively affects the body. I like a full-body massage after an intense workout at the gym. I also use erotic massage to get positive emotions and get rid of stress. I usually book a masseuse at [link removed by moderator] and enjoy sensual massage sessions.

  • Hey, Thank You!!

I get more information regarding Autism, and it would help me support my son more and more. And this is the reason that I, too, shared my experience, which allows other parents for their Autistic kids. I would also like to share the massage centre, which would be helpful to others.
