Hiya all :) 

My name is Sarah im 25 and a single mum to Kyle (5).  Kyle got diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder today and im unsure whay happens next and where we go.  Been a whirlwind day and now its all calmed down i dont know who to turn to etc...

  • Yes it came as a big shock to us! We had tried having a baby for 6 yrs before we finally had him. He was perfectly normal when he was on neocate formula which was prescribed by the specialist. Met all his milestone! his food intolerances got worse only after solids. I had a gut feeling something wasn't right and kept telling the doctors his diarrohea issues and constipation but to no help from them!

    it was only when he statred throwing up very frequently, catching infections that we got quite worried. He also in a matter of a few months just after his 2 nd birthday starting avoiding eye contact, looked more spaced out and became very picky at eating. He got worse and started the repeated stimulations, obsessively countine and not a able to tolearte any social activitities that lead us to finally digging deep. I am so relieved that finally I have my baby back, he's flourishing on the diet within a week! It was easier for us I guess because of his age he couldn't resist the food if he got hungry.
