Hello!

Greetings! My name is Wally, I'm a 29 year old man just diagnosed with ASD after spending my life so far not fitting in and not knowing why. I've always been different and I always assumed it was because I was weird. I probably am still weird, but, at least now I know there's some autism in there too!

I work as a monumental mason (I make and repair gravestones), which is a family business that I can do from home, thankfully. However my special interest is everything to do with nature and wildlife. I could and have talked the hind and front legs off a donkey talking about nature and wildlife! Please excuse my quirkiness, I mean no harm. I like to keep busy with Warhammer, something I've done since my teens.

And I love to do basketball, solo, alas, but still a fun and healthy activity to do.

I really hope this can be a place where I can be myself and finally fit in.

  • Welcome, Wally!

I hope you have a good time on the forum, I've only just joined recently and I'm finding it fun. Wildlife and nature are really interesting, a special interest of mine too, there's so much to do with those: go outside in nature, read encyclopedias, watch nature documentaries, drawing animals. Such a diversity of different species within wildlife as well to learn about, lots of fun categories to learn about, like breeds of dog for example, or different types of butterflies, being able to identify them out in the wild from that knowledge is amazing. I wonder if you have a favourite/multiple favourite types of wildlife, or if it's in general everything wildlife and nature!
