Asperger's confuses me.

I was diagnosed a few years ago and still find myself in a difficult position. My psychologists refused to label me as a child in the autism spectrum. Which could have made life a bit easier because help was available in school and college. I find myself questioning problems I have with communication and generalisation of behaviour that is different to mine. I haven't received any help because it's difficult to find it in my area. I just don't know what I need to establish a better understanding of my condition. I genuinely need some help or advice. Please.

  • Thank you for welcoming me I have found this forum both insightful and helpful so far. I have genuinely found no help with medical services local to my area e.g. NHS. So this forum is ideal for me personally because I haven't really met many people with our condition.

I have been researching for different books helping areas of life practically however I wasn't able to find the right ones so thank you for the examples. I don't completely understand my traits because they are rather jumbled with negativity from public opinion however I have learned my straightforward talking, truth and loyalty have helped people.

I will check about the local groups. I'm not sure if my area will have the correct help however I will try.

Thank you again for your help and advice it's been more than helpful on my journey to understanding. Maybe I giggled a little bit about the 'Success as an introvert for dummies!' It's rather different you have to admit.
