So I’ve never been to the cinema alone before as I’ve previously mentioned, but plan to go this week. I initially booked a later time because that’s all that was showing for the remainder of the week. However, last night I saw that more days/times had been added, so decided to cancel the original booking and re-book for an afternoon viewing instead.
Within the hour of doing this, I ended up adding and chatting to this guy who doesn’t live too far from me, and just mentioned that I was going to the cinema solo and if he wanted, he could book the seat next to me to keep me company. He said he would have, but was busy and subsequently asked what film I was seeing. I told him “Ocean with David Attenborough.” He then said “I actually work in the cinema and added some more showings tonight because the film was more popular than expected.” I was like “so you’re why I’m going to see it in the afternoon now?” He then started saying I’ll get you a free ticket, but I declined. I’m really weirded out; it’s almost too much of a coincidence.
