Hi I'm a F28 diagnosed with ASD. I was diagnosed this year, on Feb 4th on my birthday, and it's a great feeling because I finally have to validation I've kind of been searching for my whole life so far. I'm a bit of a Star Wars nerd lol, It's my special interest and I love to learn new things too, I've been using an app on my phone recently to teach me how to speak Italian.

  • Hello Partytrooper and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your diagnosis! 

    When I saw your post the F28 popped out at me and I thought you were an aircraft. I am not a Star Wars fan, but it does mean we share flight related interests. 

    i am female, in my 60s, and enjoy researching archaeological related resources. I have interests in canine behaviour and keeping up to date with current affairs.

    I actually have a bit of an interest in aircraft dating back to aircraft used in the World Wars. I find them oddly interesting and I would love to be communicating with them sort of like ‘Flight 16, take a southern heading and descend to 20,000’. That would be a fun job, minus the amount of pressure they are probably under when supervising flights all day.

    Yeah we definitely have a similar interest there!

    I love your interests. I find anything to do with archaeology fascinating. Uncovering the past tells so much about how life was back then and it also shows how much we have advanced as a species, both physically and technologically. I love watching videos about archaeology, especially regarding Ancient Egypt *special interest*.

    Now being an air traffic controller would be wonderful although intense - all that responsibility on screens in front of you! I am not so much knowledgeable of types of aircraft, more in flight itself. I used to fly light aircraft, Cessna 150/152 and Piper Cherokee PA28.

    I definitely share your love of Ancient Egypt, especially from an Art perspective, but my real passion lies in Neolithic and Iron Age material culture of the Levant.
