Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2017. I have a very limited set of interests and I don't particularly being around others as I feel like I am the centre of attention, which I hate. Hope to talk to some of you on here soon who are experiencing similar things!
Hello, welcome to your autistic community. I hope you will feel comfortable chatting on this forum with other autistic people.
I hate being the centre of attention too, I am very much an observer. I think this is a common experience for many of us autistic people.
This forum is a great place to share experiences with your neurokin. I hope you enjoy your time in this autistic community as much as I do!
What are your dedicated interests?
I know this may seem odd. However, I like flying aeroplanes on a free online flight simulator.
An interesting in aeroplanes on a flight simulator is not odd at all, it’s really cool! Do you like to use the simulators at an arcade?
It was sad when the Concorde was discontinued in October 2003. No need to thank me. Glad you learnt something.
The Concorde is a pretty cool iconic plane to fly. Thanks for the facts about the aircrafts, I have learnt something new.
Concorde. I can travel at speeds of around 4,000 knots (roughly 4,600 mph). I don't think the simulator has an upper limit in terms of speed for the Concorde on particular (I don't know why all other aircraft have top speeds). Obviously, in real life, Concorde had a max. speed of just under 1,200 knots (around 1,350 mph). I can also travel just under 9 times faster than a typical commercial aeroplane, whose average speed is only around 450 knots (around 520 mph). Although the world's fastest aircraft, the Boeing 747-8i, has a top speed of just over 570 knots (almost 660 mph).
Cool. What is your favourite plane to fly?
Yeah. Although I can just use the simulator on my laptop, so it's pretty convenient.
