hey everyone im loz new to the site new to the diagnosis but i glad sort of weight off my mind its been seven years of fightening to get the right diagnosis even though it stares these professionals right in the face lol but whilst they been messing around ive been at abit of a loss of getting to grips with things well the world you could say its on scary place to be through my eyes so any helpful tips would be fantastic just want to send a big hug out to everyone and feel free to chat to me anytime  feel like i belong somewhere xxxxxxxxxx :)

  • Hi loz - welcome to the site.  Lots of people here to chat to who understand.  Lots of info to check out as well.  It sounds like you've had a very long haul to get your diagnosis but you got there in the end!  Yes, I think quite often professionals can see clearly when someone is autistic.  When my son was a bit under 2 years old, a person I knew asked if he was autistic.  She had no qualifications in any respect but she was right.  He was diagnosed by professionals shortly before his 3rd birthday, but the diagnostic process started several months after she'd mentioned + I hadn't any knowledge about autism at all at that point.  So....have a look around the posts + home page if you haven't already + join in with any conversations when you want to.
