Anyone relate? Obsessed focus

Could I please ask, does anyone obsess over particular material objects? With me it’s tech, vapes, paperwork.

I focus intensely on one thing then it fades & I go to the next. 

if things aren’t 100% perfect I tend to only see their flaws. For eg, mobile phone with scratch on, I would use. 

I also think of things I haven’t seen in a while then turn the flat over looking for them. 

I can feel the thoughts coming about intense focus but a often unable to stop them.

    I can relate to needing things to be pristine. I have even gone as far as buying two of something, one to use and the other to be kept pristine. It's odd that if I buy something secondhand, like an old book, I am not bothered by any flaws, and even sometimes find them endearing.
