I’ve just joined the community and to be honest I don’t have a formal diagnosis of Autism or Aspergers.
I do though have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder with traits of OCD.
Through my current therapist who had pointed me in this direction because they’re a lot of similarities between BPD and Aspergers and I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve been misdiagnosed?
I live in London, UK and was wondering if anyone knows or has any suggestions on how I might understand more?
I’ve watched a few things on YouTube particularly Tony Attwood, I can I can see a lot of myself in some of the things he talks about.
Any advice or information would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Someone has to do it, might as well be me. haha
Thanks for this. I scored 36 out of 50, which suggests I do have Autistic traits.
I don’t know much about Autism, so please excuse any ignorance I may show but how do I understand the difference between Aspergers and Autism because if I understand correctly, Aspergers is now part of the Autism spectrum but is there any significant differences, that makes one, more Aspergers than Autistic, if that makes sense?
Thank you. Nice to hear someone else is into photography.
I like your occupation, it must be a very exhausting and difficult job but one I’d imagine you’re very skilled at!:)
Hello,
I like your eye for your photographic subjects, very similar to my own tastes and subjects.

I'm not doctor's fan in general, good ones goes private and we cannot afford, and we are stuck with those that had a daddy who paid for school, affraid to tell you anything so you did not sue them if something goes wrongand
what happened to Hipokrates Oath in this world ?
I’ll check it out, thanks.
Yes, he’s got some good helpful stuff and he’s why I’m trying to find out more about my own diagnosis.
Though, if one wants a consultation he’s incredibly expensive, which is one of the reasons I loathe Private Practise, it’s only available if one’s rich!
Thanks for your reply.
and using underground is even bigger nightmare,
Hello Tassimo
Thanks for your response.
Borderline Personality Disorder is also known more commonly in Europe as, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and of course the clue and emphasis is on the first two words ‘Emotionally Unstable’
I don’t really want to put any ideas into other peoples heads by giving a very long description. It’s much easier to just Google it but with a reservation that you only seek out sites you can trust as there’s a lot of poor information out there.
You’re right about London, Tassimo but it can be a nightmare when one struggles with people and social situations.
if you would like to do some scientific reading visit Spectrum website
I like Tony Attwood as well, he is from a long line of autistics :P
Hello, Mart. Welcome to the forum. What is Borderline Personality Disorder? You're lucky to live in London. It's such a vibrant city with so much going on.
