I'm new here. I'm 57 years old, but I've never grown up. I score 47/50 on the autism quotient and 6/50 on the empathy quotient. I have an IQ of 174 and no social skills. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in 2015, and have intermittently been diagnosed with major depression and severe anxiety. I haven't been outside my house since February, but I don't feel lonely. I have a sense of humour.
Will that do?
Welcome home!
I could have written this. Welcome to the forum!
Hello. No diagnosis. IQ of 152 (just an amateur!). Lifetime of mental health issues that I can now at the grand age of 49 put down squarely to autism. I like to think of it as more of a personality type in some ways, although the social difficulties exhaust me beyond belief. Hope you find some outlet here.

He went ouch!!
It was an iron bar!

Good question. I think it started out as me avoiding the world by choice and then evolved into something more like Agoraphobia. I want to leave the house and embark into a world that tolerates me. But i really should because i'm not a quitter. Mental health is not rational though and it's hard to just snap out of.
Hello PJR. Welcome to the forum. I got into trouble with the Law when I was younger. I started shoplifting and once got caught trying to smuggle a food processor out of Tesco. I knew it was wrong, but at the time, it seemed like a whisk worth taking. —Me
Thanks, Malojian. Do you want to leave your house? I don't.
Hello. I have MH problems and never leave the house. Welcome to the forum.
Yes, I'll look at that thread.
But one day recently, when I'd been having trouble typing, I went to bed and fell asleep and dreamed that I was excavating an underground passage in the hope of reaching a friend who would give me a lift in his motorised vehicle.
It turned out that I was suffering from car-pal tunnel syndrome.

Perhaps we should move to the humour thread!
No, you didn't miss a joke.
Here's a joke from Milton Jones:
My grandfather invented the cold air balloon, but it never really took off.
Welcome!

I had to re-read your post a few times to check I hadn't missed something humorous. Did I miss a joke?
