Hi,
Hookaduckduck here. I have been off the forum for a couple of days but I've tried to log on with my usual account and I get taken to a page that suggests I have been banned? Unsure why this has happened but I haven't received any emails suggesting there has been a problem.
Can anyone help me?
Michelle
These are some of the rules of this website. Have you broken any of them?
No, I haven't broken any rules to my knowledge. I haven't even been on the forum at all for a few days and the last conversation I joined in with was about rune stones. Hardly controversial.
As for names, there are plenty of people who say first names on this forum and nobody would know if they are our true names or not. I haven't used a full name either or said where I am from.
The message says "account not approved" and "you have not been approved to access this community". It isn't a big deal I suppose but I'd at least like to know what the issue is. It makes little sense to ban someone and not even notify them?
OK thats all u can do.
In their defence, they are mostly volunteers, and they deal with more serious issues first.
Yes, I did and I have received nothing. I don't really understand what has happened. I feel like it has put me off using the forum anyway if this is how fragile the support of it is. I don't want to be cut off with no warning again.
you need to email communitymanager@nas.org.uk
the odds, are this is simply a mistake of some sort.
the moderators dont read everything they are kinda busy. unless you reference them directly in your reply text.
did you check for emails from NAS, as well in case they sent you something ?
Maybe they're still sleeping.
I hope they don't ban me for saying that.
Nope
Hookaduckduck2 This blows, has anyone gotten back to you?

Who says that?
Remember the old saying, avoid discussing sex, religion or politics.
email communitymanager@nas.org.uk
Agreed.
If that thread has been censored or removed. Then it might have been the problem.
They should still send a message explaining the actual reason for blocking an account.
Oh, no Hookaduckduck2.....I wondered where you went.
OK thank you
Don't worry unnecessarily.
This website has a lot of quirks and your problem getting access could be anything.
The moderators here are very part time. It's a weekend and Easter. They may be unavailable for several days.
I'm getting anxious now worrying what I have done. Does anyone know how to contact a moderator or send a message to query the problem? I've tried to send a reply to the initial welcome message from admin to see whether I can get someone's attention that way.
