Social Training

I have a question. Is it actually useful for autistic people to do social skills training? Is it possible to learn social skills well as an autistic person?

  • I would have to say yes. Knowing how to act in a NT world is probably the first step to being more socially aware. I think the best piece of advice I could give you is to think of three things you can say to somebody before you meet them. That way you will have plenty to talk about if there is a silence. Also have things in your head to talk about with workmates or classmates etc.
