Hello, I'm New - Introducing myself

Yikes, is that true aidie that only 14% of autists have jobs? I'm assuming that's diagnosed. The ones around me mostly do, though i don't think any have a 'normal' job and most are low hours. But a normal job looks rubbish to me.

Thanks for messaging me. 

My job is going ok. It is a bit busy right now and I have been working there for a year and a bit.

My main hobbies include watching sport (mainly Formula One and a bit of football) as well as following american politics. I also like to re-watch certain films such as The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

look out for Former Member he has same job as you

I only work four days a week so its not too bad. It's already getting a bit more hectic now.

ah buts its good you're working only 14% of us autistics work  so you're doing well holding on to a job. You'll be very busy in the next few weeks

I have a younger brother but he is now living in Birmingham. I don't have any pets. 

I don't do anything to exciting. For my job, i work for Royal Mail and I sort mail in a Delivery Centre and i spend the evenings with my parents. 

i work right opposite the titanic museum so u came pretty close :)  I have never been to Wales. I have been in England quite a bit when young and thought it quite beautiful.  

about u  --- do u have brothers and sisters ?  any pets? what do u do all day each day ?

I went back to Belfast with my family on holiday about 2 years ago. That was my first time back in around 23 years. We did some sightseeing such as going to the Titanic museum.

I live in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.

i have lived there for 6/7 years and then moved 20 mile north to have a house on the coast.  Have u been back since ? like for a visit.

I was raised in co fermanagh in the lakelands so I really like green fields forests rivers lakes wildlife. 

Are u in a town/city or more country ? 

I was born in Belfast but my family moved when i was I was 4 years old.

i live in Northern Ireland we dont have anything 

I'm based in Wales. The social events which were held once a month are run by the Integrated Autism Service.

who organised the social events you mentioned  ?
