Hi i'm new is anyone else struggling?

Frown My daughter was diagnosed a few months ago and i'm REALLY struggling to talk to family members/friends about it. My mum and mummy buddy know but that's it

It feels like im labeling her or telling people to lower their expectations of her (negatively) please help.

  • hi again - go back to the community page.  There are headings such as "diagnosis + assess't", "parents + carers" so you shd find some posts there.  You cd also type diagnosis into the search engine at the top right hand corner on that page.  People will come along to answer your post as well.  Once you get your head around it all, it is a big deal, then you can feel more confident about talking to others about it.  Just remember how much you'll be able to help + support her.  bw
