new to this

hi there my daughter was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago and any help info and someone to vent to would be a great help ive been struggling for a long long time to find out why my daughter is the was she is she is now 12 years old and i struggle on a daily basis i now have the answer i was looking for and although now relived i feel like ive been left driffting with no info or help so any info would be great many thanks

thanks i have the dla forms but they are very confusing and nooneso far has metioned statments so that is something i will ask about many thanks

hi - posters on here will always help with any questions etc you may have, so you've found a good place. Feel free to vent! Has the support worker mentioned getting a statement of educational needs so that she can get the support she needs in school? I think it's very important to have that in place. How's she doing at school? Also, you can apply for DLA to cover extra financial expenses you may have. bw

she has classic autism im quiet confused as it seems we got our diagnosis and then nothing i have a family support worker and ive been reading as much as i can but i feel a support would be great from other parents ect
