hi everyone,my name is jason and im a single father to my daughter who has autistic spectrum disorder and learning difficulties,hoping to make some friends and talk to people who understand,i love music,(my daughter is obsessed with music)especially northern soul music,i also love lots of different music too and wildlife,lookin foreward to joining in on things when i pluck up the courage

  • Hello Jason and welcome. I'm new on here too and I hope you find some support the way I have. I have a 14 yr old boy with Asperger's syndrome and I find the going pretty tough at times. Like you and your daughter we both love music - you can tell which genre from my name! I also love a bit of northern soul.

    Can I ask .... is your daughter in education? Or what kind of education did she recieve. I'm just curious as it's an area we struggle with. My son James is at a special needs school for students with high functioning autism and Asperger's but he still struggles with stress and anxiety to the point it's hindering his education. If he had his way he'd be on the xbox 24/7 with a set of headphones on!
