Our 10 year old son has recently been diagnosed with 'mild but not typical' autism. We're trying to work out what this means - a daily adventure! We'd like to find him a mentor who will help him on that journey and who will be a good role model and source of support. Does anyone know an organisation which provides them?

...NAS, right here, maybe...? (Some parts of the Pages say that the Child must 12 Years Old, however.)
...and maybe this place, which also lists NAS:
I did have Brandons Trust working with me about four years ago, that's like 1 to 1 support but I don't know whether that's just for young adults.
Thanks Matt, I'll check that out.
Thank you - will have a look at the second one. The 'over 12' thing rules out the NAS.
No worries i hope that you're successful.
Maybe your local authority could provide a mentoring service? That's how I got a mentor.
I didn't know they did that - thanks, I'll try ours.
I'm looking for a mentor for my 15 year old nephew - can you tell me if you had any luck?
