Hi im new to any thing like this ive been a single parent for over 10 years now my son has autism i dont get out much and dont have any frriend i was told to try a support group talk to ppl with the same problem im not sure what to say or to exspect

I'm quite new here too.
How old is your son? Have you only recently received the diagnosis?
This forum is a good place for asking any questions etc.
If you have a look here: http://www.autism.org.uk/our-services/find-nas-services-in-your-area/local-branches.aspx you should be able to find a local group of the NAS. They might hold coffee mornings or get togethers where you can go along - it might just be a relief to go along and chat to others who understand what you're going through.
