Approximately.... What Percentage Of Adults approx 25+ Who Think They Have ASD Get a Diagnosis That Says Otherwise?  I mean as in when they go for a test 1st time in life.

If we dont have any actual stats can some people make a % guess?

  • Diagnosis in adults is a bit like marmite - some people want a diagnosis. Some people don't. Some people feel it doesn't effect their lives enough to warrant a diagnosis. Where others truggle and need more support, so a diagnosis would be handy. Its optional, depending on what YOU need. Most people with forms of autism have a general feeling they are a little different to others, but if you feel like socialising is the only the thing that is creating difficulty it might be worth starting there with some social skill sessions or cbt therapy aimed at that. Might be worth mentioning this to your doctor.
