What Percentage Of Adults 25+ Who Think They Have ASD Get a Diagnosis That Says Otherwise?

Approximately.... What Percentage Of Adults approx 25+ Who Think They Have ASD Get a Diagnosis That Says Otherwise?  I mean as in when they go for a test 1st time in life.

If we dont have any actual stats can some people make a % guess?

My guess would be low, probably sub 5%, it's not easy to get a refferal for starters so you and your GP will have to be pretty sure to go through all the effort involved. There are also some good online tests which while not definitive are a strong indicator. If someone was scoring as non-ASD on those but still forced an assessment then they would probably come back as neurotypical but most people who go through the effort have lots of strong indicators.

Wow so really that low? i thought it would be like 30%-50% or something. I thought i would go for a test and my chances of getting a different result would be high.

I can be so "normal" yet i score well within the indicators of ASD and socializing does seem like a foreign language to me in many contexts.  I'm very good at getting by though, i can get some amazing social results over a short period, i never ever can keep up these social results over a long period.

Still worried im far too "normal" to be going for a test.
