geeeeh i give up!

Sooooooo I am getting my head round this diagnoses of autistic traits and sensory issues,as ive always belive it was more, anyway ive been working in a school for children with mild disabilities and ive been looking at the children and im thinking my son is not that bad educationally, his behaviour at home is shocking, anyway i started thinking ok maybe it is just autistic traits and sensory issues and hypercussis.

Then i went to parents evening,i had a lot more time with the teacher because i had to cancel due to hubbys heart attack and make another on a different week which meant i got a lot longer than 5 mins that was rushed.

The teacher said to me she suspects hes on the spectrum and shes going to try and best to help us as much as she can and whilst this is utterly brilliant!!!!!! its like arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry i just feel like a yoyo and needed to get it out.

I wouldnt get involved with socail services,my son will be ok we are the ones that wont be though, what can the local council do?

    1) If something happens to you then who will look after your son? It is not in anyone's interest to let it get to that point.

    2) If your son keeps going the way that he is then he will end up in trouble.

The council employ people to help people in your situation. It is in everyone's interest to keep you all in one piece as a family and for you to get the healthcare you need and for your son to get some more help with the problems that he is at the centre of.

They also have responsibilities for people with disabilities - autism is a disability and it is recognised that we (autistic people like me!) need an extra hand up in some situations.

Please give them a chance to help you.
