So fed up!

When my son was in Year 2 he saw a Paed and got diagnosed with Auditory Processing Difficulties. The Paed said that he had ADHD and ASD traits, but didn't want to pursue assessment. He is now in Year 5 and we are back at square one. Back at the Paed in March. I just want to scream and cry. I want answers. I am sick of this. I am really struggling to cope with my son's differences because of the lack of answers. This could have been sorted 3 years ago. But no! ARRRGGGHHH (sorry, just wanted to vent somewhere where they may understand LOL)

Parents
  • This is my biggest concern, and I told the SENCO as much. At the first Parents Evening (bearing in mind this is also a new school which he joined in September) and he has already been spotted as having self esteem issues by the welfare officer.

Whilst this is a good thing for him, as he can now have the support, it makes me so, so angry. I know that the issues are partly down to my ineffective parenting, but had they listened, we may have all had the support we needed.

I can only hope for a better future!
