When my son was in Year 2 he saw a Paed and got diagnosed with Auditory Processing Difficulties. The Paed said that he had ADHD and ASD traits, but didn't want to pursue assessment. He is now in Year 5 and we are back at square one. Back at the Paed in March. I just want to scream and cry. I want answers. I am sick of this. I am really struggling to cope with my son's differences because of the lack of answers. This could have been sorted 3 years ago. But no! ARRRGGGHHH (sorry, just wanted to vent somewhere where they may understand LOL)

    It is sooo frustrating isn't it? All we want is answer and help to be the great parents we are and they waste our time. Did you know? I have always thought Autism, though I am open to other diagnosis, but I will not be fobbed off with the easiest!

    I had a woman in from Family Support last year, in the hope she would help me get a diagnosis. All I got was 'boys will be boys' and with regards to his sleep 'his body is hungry for nutrients'. He is an extremely picky eater - he will choose hunger over something that he is not familiar with - so that was less than helpful. I am aware of all the things 'wrong' with him thank you very much. I want help to improve his life, not nit pick!
