autism diagnosis

hi all my name is jade, and my son who is now 3 has been diagnosed with an asd but no-one will tell me where on the spectrum he falls, i know its like an umbrella system or so its been explained to me but the school i want him to go to will only accept moderate or severe cases of asd children so how do i find this out? i have his scores from his ados assessment can i find out the severity of his case from this? any help would be greatly appreciated xx

    Sounds like a really difficult situation, especially with the view of the school. I'm sure they need to make an assessment of children they teach but that's hard if no one is helping you with the process.

    Can I suggest calling our Education Rights Service - I'm sure they will have lots of experience dealing with similar situations and should be able to talk through some appropriate next steps. Follow the link below to find out the ways you can get in touch -
