Letting Go & Moving On

When the fixation aspect of autism kicks when things go wrong, how do you let go and move on?

Parents
  • I try to find a problem to solve usually starting by staring at the page for minutes or hours.

Eventually, my mind starts sticking to parts, until it takes over. Doesn't always work.

Sometimes I go for a jog until I am very exhausted.

Very hot shower or baths may work as well.

Funny videos or jokes can also help.

I do suffer fixation quite badly, but do so less now than in the past.
