Letting Go & Moving On

When the fixation aspect of autism kicks when things go wrong, how do you let go and move on?

  • I really struggle with this, sometimes it’s such a small thing like a new recipe didn’t turn out as delicious as I’d hoped but it can bother me for so long. Partly I think it helps to tell someone what the thing that went wrong was, they can sometimes help me put it into a different perspective. I haven’t found a quick fix that will snap me out of it, I don’t know whether it’s better to fight it or just let yourself fixate until it burns out. Is it something specific or just in general?
