Yet another health trust is having to conduct enquiries after it was found that a surgeon who is still employed by them but no longer opperating carried out unnessercary mastectomies. In this case it was complicated by the trust sending women to a private clinic which this surgeon owned and ran, not only was there a clear conflict of interest, but how can this sort of things be undetected for so long? I know the only difference between god and a consultant is that god dosen't think he can practice medicine, but the arrogance and lack of care towards women is shocking.
Another thing, whilst you do hear of people being opperated on wrongly, does it seems to be overwhelmingly women who are mutilated by the medical profession?
