Scientific terms in every day use

I hate how scientific terms are now a part of the lexicon

I can no longer just enjoy my hobbies without being told about dopamine drops

I cant reset my sleep pattern without being lectured about. Circadian rythems

I don't know. Why but it all puts me on edge

  • Because its so reductive? It reduces pleasure to a bunch of chemicals with the implication that we have concious control of them when we don't. I like reading, but theres lots of books and literary styles I don't like so I don't get dopmaine hits from Mills and Boon, I get annoyed chemicals and even moe annoyed ones when I'm told that its a book and I like reading therefore I must enjoy that book simply because its a book.

  • Yes I suppose your mind wonders to the science when you just what to enjoy the book

Also I. Don't unsetand. When people claim the first few bites of food are the most enjoyable my brain doesn't seem to work that way I enjoy each bite the same.

I guess it's another example of a world that wasnt made for me.

Like my brain reacts to stuff different

Sometimes I. Love learning about my. Hobbies(this they become special interests) bit oth t times learning how tech works. Or what ever I feel like my hobby is less fun
