Ideas for new games in the Olympics?

Well, the weirdest opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics 2026, but what I find incredibly moving are the parade of athletes, indicating peace and shared ethics, also the passing on of the Olympic flame. What amazes me are some of the sports considered ‘Olympic’ level – beach volleyball, table tennis, sliding.

 Which sport[s] would you like to see added? The only rule is, they must be from everyday experience:

  1.  Heavy weight bread– producing a loaf heavier than 1.5 kilos despite using yeast
  2. Forefinger and thumb lifting a teacup from the sofa [couch potato level 3]
  3. Most elegant fall over front doorstep
  4. Dance portrayal of wasp in a car and the door won’t open
  5. Detecting if the customer services employee you’re emailing is real or AI
  6. Fastest silent dish-washer emptying, without breakages or swearing

 

Parents

  • The only thing I was impressed with was the clothing that the athletes were wearing, some were so creative especially Canada. I love all sports but I turned off when they had introduced 10 or so countries and still had over 90 to go. I thought, 'if I was the first country to sit down in the arena I would definitely need the toilet before all the countries had been introduced'.'4.
