Hi my 4 year old son was diagnosed with aspergers yesterday, its been a long wait to get here, its a shock even though I was expecting it, but feels like I'm on my own now with leaflets and phone numbers to contact for support. He's still seeing the speech therapist who is going to arrange an appointment with the school as he's just started so in a way I'm grateful its been picked up before he started school so he can get the right support.
I know what you mean I had people say that all the time. It took me 3 years to get help and then professionals finally woke up and realised he wasn't going to grow out of any of it. Although family still think he will get better from it and don't understand how hard and exhausting it all it is. Right now I am soooo tired
