Does anyone have sensitivities?

Especially I'm wondering about sensitivities and allegric reactions to food dye/additives.

I wondered if that might be why medication can be a bit or an issue.

I'm thinking I do to allura red and titanium dioxide = maybe others. I'm on a lot of meds for health issues so it's a real concern

  • I think I may have an issue with something in some types of bread, but I can't figure it out.

I don't each much processed food, so tend not to have any colourings.

I'm allergic to plasters, I have to use micropore stuff. The regular ones are ok for a few hours, but when I broke my fingers they strapped them up and after about 36 hours my skin blistered a d the top layer came off

I bought some Sensodyne toothpaste for gums, but that makes my lips swell up after a couple of days of use.

I only use Fairy non-bio for clothes. New clothes are always washed before wearing.

I used Co-op pure vegetable soap bars with no colour or scent, others cause issues for my face, especially if I sweat.

  • I have a bread machine and make all my own bread and have done for years, shop bought bread makes me feel bloated and a bit queasy. I have problems with plasters too.

I can't use normal toothpaste, I think it's due to sodium laurel/laureth sulphate from mineral sources rather than vegetable ones, it seems quite a common problem and dentists are aware of it. It gives me contact dermatitis in my mouth which includes swollen lips and gums, and all the little thingies on my tongue to stand up and tingle. I threw my old toothbrush away and got a new one, in case it was caused by bacteria and cleaned my teeth with pure bicarbonate of soda from the baking section of the supermarket, for a week until all the soreness had gone. Then I reintroduced normal toothpaste and all the itching and soreness started again, so I bought some toothpaste from a wholefood shop that dosen't contain any nasties and went through the whole process again, I was fine with the new toothpaste.

Sodium laureth sulphate is a foaming agent and is used in lots of things, from toothpaste to laundry products and it's a pain in the bum!
