Tylenol vs Autism Discovery Dates

After a quick google search from a uneducated autistic guy ( me ), i found that Tylenol was introduced in 1955 and Autism Discovery was 1911, this is quite a shocking discovery since the only way Tylenol could cause autism is if "TIME TRAVEL" was invented! but after some research i couldn't find any time machines.... so either I'm bad at googling/research and a time machine exists or the people who think the above is connected to Autism are dumber then a uneducated person like myself! ( only spend 15 mins researching as-well )

Tylenol was introduced in 1955 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tylenol_%28brand%29

Autism Discovery: The term "autism" was first introduced in 1911 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_autism

Edit : Also - The MMR vaccine was introduced in 1963 - en.wikipedia.org/.../MMR_vaccine

  • I don’t think Trump is interested in evidence or facts. I suspect the Tylenol claim is an attempt to appease his supporters who hate people who aren’t non-autistic, white, male, American etc. His claim of a breakthrough discovery of Tylenol ‘causing the epidemic of autism’ is a not so subtle way to control women by telling them what to do, but it is mainly about boosting his ego by diminishing the value of autistic people and promoting himself as ‘the greatest president of all time’.

I did see an article in my news feed from the Independent (I'm not a regular reader of this newspaper, I just get autism articles and the Independent seems to have lots of these) that JFK Jr

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-tylenol-autism-rfk-meeting-b2833660.html

JFK Jr met with the CEO of Tylenol following his claim he would find "cause" of autism by September (he did not find anthing) and wanted someone to blame so chose to single out Tylenol.

Finding a "villan" to blame everything on is a common tactic used by the administration.

I suspect there would have been a mafia type discussion of "give us a handout or we blame you" that didn't work so they used the classic mob tactics of performing a hit on the company which also played to their conspiracy theory audience.

The article seems to be behind a paywal sometimes but not on a later attempt - I don't know what it is up to.

Hmm … that doesn’t surprise me. He has often used threatening tactics in public so I can quite imagine how much worse his behaviour might be when out of sight of the camera.

I have tried to access the Independent a few times in the past, but it has always required payment or acceptance of cookies and tracking.
