Confused with diagnosis process

Help with diagnosis process
Hi, my son is 6 and has been having problems since nursery (probably even before that but it never seemed strange to me). We've gone through a long process so far with family support workers, behavioural support, senco, observations etc. I recently completed a few assessments with the behavioural support worker who then took them back to their camhs nurse who scored them. We were told today that based on the scores my DS is now being referred to camhs for a tier 3 assessment. The 'results' that I have written down on the copy of the referral says this:

Conners Rating Scales:
ADHD Index - Teacher - 96% probability score
ADHD Index - Parent - 99% probability score
GADS Questionnaire - Score of 108
SCQ - 19

If anybody can give me some insight into what all this means as it's like a foreign language to me that would be great!

Thanks

  • We have just started cahms they put me on a course for parents with children that have asd/traits that lasted 6 weeks and has now finished, there will be a last one in september to catch up on how we all have been doing,we basically talked about strategies ect,so i am going to try visual time table at home and giving him his own space ect, when he is worked up.
