Confused with diagnosis process

Help with diagnosis process
Hi, my son is 6 and has been having problems since nursery (probably even before that but it never seemed strange to me). We've gone through a long process so far with family support workers, behavioural support, senco, observations etc. I recently completed a few assessments with the behavioural support worker who then took them back to their camhs nurse who scored them. We were told today that based on the scores my DS is now being referred to camhs for a tier 3 assessment. The 'results' that I have written down on the copy of the referral says this:

Conners Rating Scales:
ADHD Index - Teacher - 96% probability score
ADHD Index - Parent - 99% probability score
GADS Questionnaire - Score of 108
SCQ - 19

If anybody can give me some insight into what all this means as it's like a foreign language to me that would be great!

Thanks

  • Sorry to hear that you feel like you haven't been given much help. Has your son been assessed for anything? If you have already seen camhs what did they say?

I know that I have been very lucky with the help I have received so far from the school. Although I must say that it hasn't been easy, I have had to fight every step to keep things moving. We are nearly 4 years in to the process and have only just been referred to camhs.
